In order to educate and motivate pre-collegiate students to investigate business practices, examine the world's intricate problems, and begin the process of becoming leaders who will revolutionize the global economy, the UPenn Wharton Global Youth Program makes use of the wealth of opportunities available within the Wharton academic community.

Several opportunities are provided by the Wharton Global Youth Program; we have prepared a list for you to delve into!

1. Management & Technology Summer Institute

For rising high school seniors and a few rising high school juniors interested in examining the fusion of technology concepts and management principles, the Management and Technology Summer Institute is a demanding and fulfilling for-credit summer program. Here, students take part in simulations run by Google and other industry pioneers! And those who successfully finish the program are awarded a full credit towards a Penn college course!

75 individuals are chosen by M&TSI to participate in the summer program. Academic performance and leadership in extracurricular activities—including both school-based and non-school-based activities like student government, community service, artistic and cultural endeavors, and athletics—are the main criteria used to make selections.

2. Data Science Academy

High school students will have access to cutting-edge machine learning and data science resources thanks to the Wharton Data Science Academy. We hope that this demanding yet easy curriculum will pique interest in the rapidly evolving subject of machine learning. The major focus will be developing empirical and critical thinking abilities together with statistical underpinnings.

International applicants are welcome!

Eligibility: Currently Enrolled 10th-11th Grade

3. Leadership in the Business World

An intense summer program called Leadership in the Business World (LBW) is designed for a select group of rising seniors who wish to improve their communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities while also being exposed to a top-tier undergraduate business curriculum. International applicants are welcome!

Eligibility: Currently enrolled in 11th Grade with a GPA of 3.5 or higher

4. Moneyball Academy

Rising high school juniors and seniors have the chance to study sports analytics at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School at the three-week summer Wharton Moneyball Academy. With an emphasis on developing into a data-driven decision-maker, this curriculum focuses on using data to produce profound discoveries in sports. An introduction to statistical programming languages, practical applications used by statistics experts in sports analytics, and the foundations of statistical thinking will all be covered in the course.

5. Essentials of Entrepreneurship

For a limited number of high school students, an intense two-week summer program called Essentials of Entrepreneurship is offered. Students are pushed to interact with their classmates, think creatively, and get an understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship via this immersive experience.

A formal background in business is not necessary, and international applicants are welcome!

6. Essentials of Finance

In addition to offering possibilities to study finance outside of the stock market, such as venture capital, corporate valuation, and alternative investments, the Essentials of Finance exploratory program offers a concise introduction to the principles of finance over the course of two weeks. The program provides an introduction to the theory, the methods, and the concerns of the world of finance. Students get to learn about the fundamentals of both personal and corporate finance and delve into topics such as the time value of money, the trade-off between risk and return, equities, and corporate accounting. International applicants are welcome!

7. Product Design Academy

Students will use the create thinking process to research, develop, prototype, and create a new product during this three-week hands-on session. Students will discover consumer requirements, develop product ideas, prototype, and create a tangible product to display through this studio-based curriculum. International applicants are welcome!
