1. inteGIRLS

The goal of the InteGIRLS Math Competition is to inspire girls and non-binary children to pursue and succeed in mathematics. Although it began in Washington, D.C., InteGIRLS today has chapters all around the country and even beyond. Students from all around the world can participate in the many tournaments that are hosted both in-person and online. Additionally, they provide events, workshops, and mentoring programs that assist participants in connecting with STEM role models and gaining confidence in their mathematical abilities, and you do not need any experience to participate!

2. International Maths Olympiad

Since 1959, high school students have participated in the world's most renowned math competition, the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). To compete and find solutions to difficult mathematical problems, the IMO brings together the best young mathematicians from all around the world. Teams comprising up to six students, team leaders, and observers are sent by each participating nation.

All qualified students, regardless of gender, country, or background, are welcome to join the IMO!

Note: Each country selects its teams after rigorous selection processes; hence, look into your country’s selection process, methods, and date of participation.

Eligibility: High school students. Typically under 20 years of age.

3. International Maths Bowl

The International Math Bowl is an online, global, team-based math competition for high school students (but younger participants and solo competitors are also encouraged to join). We are dedicated to providing a high-quality and enjoyable event to competitors across the globe. The best part is that NO ENTRY FEE IS REQUIRED!

4. Mathematical Kangaroo

Mathematical Kangaroo (also known as International Mathematical Kangaroo or Kangourou Sans Frontieres in French) is an international mathematical competition held across 92 countries in the world. No school student is too young for this competition as the competition has 12 levels for students from 1st Grade to 12th Grade. You do not have to worry about the location either; the competition is online and open to all!

5. Tournament of Towns

For school students in grades 8–11, the Tournament of Towns is an international mathematical Olympiad (grade 11 being the final grade). The Tournament's peculiarity is its commitment to a thorough analysis of issues rather than a sporting triumph. It aids in the development of traits required for scientific research. For students’ convenience, the competition takes place twice a year in two sessions, Fall and Spring.

Eligibility: 8th-11th/12th (depending on which is the final grade at your school) Graders.
